Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar has directed the constitution of a committee to examine birth and death certificates issued by PGIMS over the past year. He said that if any irregularity is found in the issuance of these certificates during the inquiry, an FIR should be registered immediately against the concerned persons.

The Minister was presiding over the monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee held at Rohtak. He said that 16 complaints were included in the meeting agenda, out of which 12 were resolved on the spot, while directions were issued to constitute inquiry committees for the remaining 4 complaints.

While hearing the complaint of a widow and a resident of Fatehpur Colony, the Minister directed the constitution of a committee comprising the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Civil Surgeon and Medical Superintendent of PGIMS to investigate birth and death certificates issued over the past year. He issued clear directions that if any irregularity is detected, an FIR must be lodged immediately. 

The complainant had alleged that she had not been issued a death certificate even two years after her husband’s demise. While hearing another complaint, the Minister directed Municipal Corporation officers to immediately remove an unauthorised personal septic tank constructed in the middle of the street. 

In another case, he directed the formation of a committee comprising the SDM, District Development and Panchayat Officer and Tehsildar to conduct demarcation and submit a report in the next meeting. In another complaint, the Minister directed the constitution of a three-member committee under the chairmanship of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate and stated that action would be taken to remove illegal encroachment on Panchayati land based on the committee’s report.

While hearing complaints from residents of Nagar Colony, the Minister directed railway authorities to officially communicate in writing to the Municipal Corporation regarding the takeover of the Double Phatak underpass, after which its maintenance would be undertaken by the Municipal Corporation. 

During the meeting, he also directed the constitution of a five-member committee under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner to explore the feasibility of constructing a foot overbridge at the railway station. He included two non-official members, Renu Dabla and Ramesh, in the committee. Based on the report, necessary recommendations would be made to the government in public interest.

After addressing the agenda items, the Minister also heard other complaints. On the issue raised by residents of Kheri Sadh, he directed Public Health Department officers to ensure adequate drinking water supply by deploying permanent staff in the area under the Municipal Corporation. 

He further stated that Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam would shift all electricity poles from the drain within 15 days. Regarding the complaint of the Sarpanch of Taja Majra, he directed that necessary action be taken to resolve waterlogging issues in Taja Majra and Gaddi Kheri.

Government Providing Equal Funds for Development Across All Areas

While Interacting with media persons after the meeting, the Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the state government is providing equal funds for development to both ruling party and opposition MLAs. He said that various welfare schemes are being implemented for all sections of society and that more plots have been provided to the poor as compared to the previous government.

He added that there is adequate availability of LPG, diesel and petrol in the country and that the Prime Minister has advised citizens to remain alert to deal with any emergency situation. Appreciating the district administration, he said that officials are resolving public grievances with seriousness.

Rohtak MLA, Sh. Bharat Bhushan Batra, Meham MLA, Sh. Balram Singh Dangi, Mayor Sh. Ram Avtar Valmiki, Chairperson, Zila Parishad, Ms. Manju Hooda, President, BJP District, Sh. Ranbir Dhaka, Deputy Commissioner, Sachin Gupta, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Dr. Anand Sharma, Superintendent of Police, Sh. Surendra Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner,Sh. Narendra Kumar and other dignitaries also remained present during the meeting.
