Haryana’s Urban Local Bodies Minister, Vipul Goel, informed the House that the land near the Government Girls Senior Secondary School on Tigaon Road in Ballabhgarh is Shamlat Deh (common village land). As per the order dated 18.01.2005, this land falls under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation Faridabad.
Sh. Goel was replying today during the Haryana Assembly budget session to a question asked by a member of the House. He stated that, according to revenue records, the land is in the possession of the Municipal Corporation. However, some portions of the land are under litigation.
In 2002, the High Court ordered to maintain status quo. Some individuals have encroached upon about one kanal of land. Several cases related to this matter are still pending in court. Until these cases are decided, the Municipal Corporation cannot take complete control of the land.
