In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for holistic rural development, Chairman of Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation Dalvir Singh Dhillon and Chairman of Dhuri Market Committee Rajwant Singh Ghulli reviewed the progress of ongoing and upcoming development works across 59 villages of Dhuri constituency. The meeting, attended by village sarpanches and departmental officials, was held to evaluate works worth ₹61 crore.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Sukhchain Singh was also present on the occasion. Chairman Dhillon and Ghulli informed that 369 projects worth ₹15 crore have already been completed in Dhuri constituency villages, while 680 development works costing ₹36 crore are currently in progress.
They further announced that new projects amounting to ₹10 crore will soon be initiated to ensure all-round infrastructural growth in the region. During the marathon review meeting with sarpanches of villages including Dhadra, Kaulseri, Mirheri, Harchampur, Dohla, Mallumajra, Dugni, Dhura, Dhuri, Manwala, Bhullarheri, Kandhargarh, Samundgarh, Jakhla, Burj Sedha, Mimsa Jainpur, Belewal, Bhasaur, Banbhauri, Babbanpur, Kazhli, Kazhla, Hasanpur, Cheema, Dhadhogal, Kheri Jatta, Isra, Mana, Serpur, Sodhia, Bamal, Bararwal, Ballamgarh, Bangawali, Batuha, Benra, Bhaddalwad, Bhalwan, Bhojowali, Bugra, Burj, Gohra, Daulatpur, Isri, Jahagir, Jatimajra, Kaheeru, Kakkarwal, Ladda, Lohar Majra, Natt, Naik Basti, Palasaur, Pedhni, Punnawala, Rajindarpuri, Rajomajra, Ranike, and Ruldu Singhwala, the chairman emphasized that the Punjab Government under CM Mann’s leadership is fully committed to ensuring rapid rural progress and balanced development across all sectors.
ADC (Rural Development) Sukhchain Singh shared that under government directives, special initiatives are being implemented for the upgradation of village roads, improvement of drainage systems, clean drinking water supply, sanitation infrastructure, and beautification drives. He directed officials to maintain high quality standards and ensure timely completion of all projects.
He also instructed immediate submission of utilization certificates for completed works so that funds for new projects can be released promptly. BDPO Dhuri Sukhwinder Singh, panchayat secretaries, sarpanches, panches, and other departmental officials were also present during the meeting.
