Kulgam police arrested a peddler and recovered about 4 quintals of Fukki while being smuggled out from Kulgam and 4lacs 93 thousand cash from his car. Police has launched a manhunt to nab his accomplice who managed to give slip.On a tip off, Kulgam police in presence of a Magistrate seized a Trailer bearing registration number PB 010 BG 8208 and a Verna car bearing registration number PB 08 CC 8085. Upon the search of the seized vehicles police recovered about 4 quintals of Fukki. One of the peddlers Raba son of Mohan Lal resident of Jalander, Punjab was apprehended while his accomplice Surjeet Kumar son of Jodh Raj resident of Jalander managed to flee from the spot. Police also recovered cash worth Rs 4, 93,000 from the seized car in presence of the Magistrate. A case FIR number 190/2014 under section 15/18 NDPS Act was registered against the peddlers and investigation has been taken up. (KNS)
