It is designed to handle up to 500 patients a day and also houses a viewing gallery for its Operation theatre, in-house opticals, laboratory, pharmacy (9 am–8 pm), GA back-up, ample parking, and advanced investigation suites.

Specialized services offered at the hospital include cataract surgery, corneal services, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma management, pediatric ophthalmology, Lasik & ReLEx SMILE, retinal surgeries, squint management, oculoplasty, uvea, neuro-ophthalmology, and general ophthalmology. Dr. Srinivasa Rao, Regional Head Clinical Services, Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital, added, “This facility is not only about treating eye diseases, but also about early detection, prevention, and spreading awareness.

With lifestyle-related eye issues and myopia on the rise, our hospital will play a vital role in protecting the eye health of both adults and children in this region supported by a team of three dedicated specialist doctors.” Commenting on the expansion, Mr. Rahul Agarwal, COO, Dr Agarwals Group of Eye Hospitals, said, “Mangaluru has a strong medical ecosystem with several reputed institutions, but there is still a gap in advanced ophthalmic services.

Our vision is to fill this gap by introducing state-of-the-art eye care that is both accessible and affordable. With the latest diagnostic tools and surgical expertise, we aim to serve people across all sections of society and provide them with the best possible vision.”

As part of its community outreach, the hospital has announced a free comprehensive eye check-up for all patients till September 30, 2025. Additionally, regular eye check-up camps will be organized across Dakshina Kannada district.
