Demanding a resolution be passed so that message could be sent to both India and Pakistan that the people of the state cannot be held hostage to the war between the two countries, PDP chief spokesman and legislator Naeem Akhtar Tuesday in Legislative council said that border tensions are erupting as the serious humanitarian crises.Akhtar said that people of the state are not the mere statistics but the war is going on at the cost of state. “You cannot hold people hostage for the Indo-Pak war and there must be the resolution and discussion over the issue so that message from the people of the state is sent to both Indi and Pakistan that we are not statistics but the people,” Akhar said while speaking in the council on Tuesday. He castigated BJP for playing politics at borders at present and that such actions will not be allowed. NC’s Davinder Singh Rana seconded Akhar along with other PDP and NC members who demanded passing of  resolution in the council for the discussion. (KNS)
