To ensure 100% coverage of all individuals aged 30 years and above, Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain directed senior health officials to speed up ongoing Non-communicable diseases (NCD) campaign in the district. The drive, which is running from 20th February to 31st March, 2025, aims to ensure 100% coverage of individuals aged 30 years and above to detect and manage NCDs such as diabetes, hypertension, and three common cancers - oral, breast, and cervical.

Addressing a review meeting of program officers and senior medical officers, she said that Village health nutrition and sanitation committees have already been constituted to take their help in the drive, which should be utilized to the most.  She asked officials to maximize efforts for complete eradication of tuberculosis till the end of 2025 and gave directions to provide quality treatment to the TB patients.
