In today’s session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal,  MLA Ramgarh  raised several important issues pertaining  to his constituency. Dr. Manyal expressed his disappointment as there was no mention of SC welfare schemes in the budget spech of Hon'ble  CM Jb Omar abdullah .Criticizing the National Conference government for neglecting the welfare of the community.

He strongly emphasized the need for the establishment of  SC  board to address the needs of the Scheduled Castes and ensure their rights are protected. Dr Manyal requested Hon'ble  Minister to restore Reservation in  promotion  for SC ST employees as the Supreme Court has directed the state/UT  to restore Reservation in promotion.

The central government, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has taken various steps for this  marginalized communities in every sector. In addition to this, Dr. Manyal called for an immediate increase in the salaries of NHM employees & ASHA workers  and urged the government to bring them under the regular policy framework, ensuring job security and improved compensation for their invaluable contributions.

During his speech, Dr. Manyal also brought attention to a Central Government initiative to honor martyrs by naming schools after them, stressing the importance of recognizing the sacrifices made by local heroes from Ramgarh. Furthermore, Dr. Manyal raised concerns about the irrigation infrastructure in Ramgarh. He questioned the government on the steps being taken for the improvement and rejuvenation of the canals, specifically those coming from the Chenab and Ravi Rivers. 

He inquired about any ongoing or planned projects aimed at improving water resource management and addressing environmental issues such as pollution and de-silting in the region. Dr. Manyal also sought clarification on the timeline for completing these canal improvement projects and how they would benefit local agriculture and communities in Ramgarh.

Dr. Manyal’s speech highlighted the urgent need for focused government action on these critical issues, which are essential for the overall development and welfare of the Ramgarh constituency.
