After days of moderate to heavy rain, the southwest monsoon Sunday remained dormant in the hills of Himachal Pradesh, resulting in rise in minimum and maximum temperatures, officials said."Precipitation occurred in some places during the day. The maximum temperature increased by 2-3 degrees, while the minimum increased by 1-2 degrees," the Met Office here said in a statement.Pandoh in Mandi district recorded the highest rainfall of 13 mm in the state, while it was 11 mm in Kasauli and five mm in Mashobra, near Shimla.Tourist resorts Shimla, Manali and Dharamsala recorded no rainfall.Shimla recorded a high of 26.8 degrees Celsius, Dharamsala 28.2 degrees and Kalpa in Kinnaur district 24 degrees Celsius.The Met department said some areas would receive light to moderate rain till Aug 12 and thereafter there are chances of heavy rain till Aug 15.
