Jitendra Jorwal reviews preparations for Republic Day and Know Your Army Events

Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal on Friday reviewed the preparations for state level Republic Day celebrations and Know Your Army events, in the PAU grounds. Accompanied by senior officials of administration and Indian Army, Jorwal gave necessary directions to them for ensure smooth arrangements of both events. 

He added that Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria will unfurl national flag on Jan 26 here. He added that first time in Ludhiana on Jan 26, the Indian Army will organize 'Know Your Army Event in Weapons and Tanks will be displayed. 

He added that the public can come to witness the Know Your Army from 1 PM to 5 PM at the grounds. Emphasizing the significance of the state level Republic Day celebrations, Jorwal stated that being a state of Level Republic Day celebrations, the district administration will celebrate it with full patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. 

He mentioned that the district has a reputation for hosting the best Republic Day functions in the state each year, a tradition that will be upheld this year as well. Prominent attendees at the meeting included ADCs Amarjit Bains, Rohit Gupta, officials from Indian Army and others.
