Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain on Saturday directed all concerned departments to ensure the timely redressal of complaints lodged by traders through the Punjab Government’s grievance portal. Chairing a review meeting, Jain emphasized the need for prompt resolution of issues faced by the trading community and asserted that the Punjab Government remains committed to providing a business-friendly environment.

He warned that any undue delay in addressing genuine grievances would not be tolerated. The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of effective coordination among departments to ensure that issues at the grassroots level are resolved on priority. He noted that better communication and inter-departmental cooperation would facilitate quicker and more efficient solutions.

During the meeting, Jain instructed departments including PSPCL, Police, NHAI, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana Improvement Trust, GLADA, Water Supply and Sewerage Board, and others to take immediate action on pending complaints and ensure their early disposal.

Reiterating the district administration’s commitment to transparent and time-bound grievance redressal, Jain said efforts are being made to strengthen coordination between traders and government departments while ensuring the effective delivery of public services on the ground.

He added that regular monitoring of complaints would be undertaken to ensure accountability and improve service standards. Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included GLADA Chief Administrator Ojasvi Alankar, ADCs Poonam Singh, Amit Bamby, Dr Narinder Singh Dhaliwal, SDMs Jasleen Kaur Bhullar, Upinderjeet Kaur Brar, Preet Inder Bains, Khushpreet Singh, Estate Officer Aman Gupta, Joint Commissioners Vineet Kumar, Tapan Bhanot, and heads of various departments.
