Postal Ballot Voting (PBV) concluded today in Ganderbal segments under the Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency, a pivotal initiative aimed at facilitating the participation of employees engaged in essential services during the Lok Sabha Elections, 2024. The District Election Officer (DEO), Shyambir along with Deputy DEO inspected the voting process at the Facilitation Centre established within the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal, ensuring that the voting process is both efficient and accessible.

Speaking on the occasion, the DEO underscored the district administration’s commitment to uphold a free and fair electoral process, adding that the Facilitation Centre was established to provide a streamlined voting procedure, allowing those who will be on duty during the general election day to cast their votes without any hindrance.

Meanwhile, the DEO extended a heartfelt appeal to all eligible voters to exercise their fundamental democratic right by casting their votes on May 13, 2024. A significant number of employees from various essential service departments participated enthusiastically, exercising their democratic right with ease and convenience.

The Election Commission of India’s guidelines have been meticulously followed by the District Administration to ensure every eligible voter has the opportunity to participate in the electoral process. The District Administration Ganderbal remains dedicated to ensuring that every voter has a voice and encourages all eligible personnel to use the postal ballot facility to cast their vote.
