To follow the instructions of the Punjab Chief Electoral Officer to set up auxiliary booths where number of voters in a single booth exceeds 1400, district Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar to have five auxiliary booths in 112-Derabassi Constituency. Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Additional District Electoral Officer Viraj Shyamlata Tidke while holding the meeting with political parties to apprise them of the proposal being sent by the district administration, said that there had been five booths in 112-Derabassi Constituency where the number of voters exceeds 1400 as per the guidelines of Chief Electoral Officer Punjab.
The booths included Booth No. 33 (1507 votes), Booth No. 40 (1495 votes), Booth No. 123 (1467 votes), Booth No. 134 (1484 votes) and Booth No. 229 (1504 votes) where Auxilliary Polling stations are to be created. Similarly, the Returning Officers from 52- Kharar and 53- SAS Nagar have reported that there is no such booth in their constituencies where votes exceed the number of 1400.
The members from various political parties including Bahadar Singh Chahal, from the Aam Aadmi Party, Jasmer Lal from the Indian National Congress, Gurwinder Singh, from Siromani Akali Dal and Anil Kumar Guddu, Bhartiya Janta Party gave their consent to the proposal to be sent to Chief Electoral Officer Punjab. Tehsildar Elections, Sanjay Kumar was also present in the meeting.

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਬੂਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ 1400 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਹੈ, ਉੱਥੇ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਬੂਥ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ, ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਸਾਹਿਬਜ਼ਾਦਾ ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ 112-ਡੇਰਾਬੱਸੀ ਹਲਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਬੂਥ ਬਣਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਵਧੀਕ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ-ਕਮ-ਵਧੀਕ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਵਿਰਾਜ ਸ਼ਿਆਮਕਰਨ ਤਿੜਕੇ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਜ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਹਲਕਾ 112-ਡੇਰਾਬੱਸੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜ ਬੂਥ ਸਨ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੋਟਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ 1400 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸੀ।
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੂਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੂਥ ਨੰ: 33 (1507 ਵੋਟਾਂ), ਬੂਥ ਨੰ: 40 (1495 ਵੋਟਾਂ), ਬੂਥ ਨੰ: 123 (1467 ਵੋਟਾਂ), ਬੂਥ ਨੰ: 134 (1484 ਵੋਟਾਂ) ਅਤੇ ਬੂਥ ਨੰ: 229 (1504 ਵੋਟਾਂ) ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹਨ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਬਣਾਏ ਜਾਣੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ 52-ਖਰੜ ਅਤੇ 53-ਐਸ.ਏ.ਐਸ.ਨਗਰ ਦੇ ਰਿਟਰਨਿੰਗ ਅਫ਼ਸਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਲਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਬੂਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ 1400 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਮੁੱਖ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜੀ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਤਜਵੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਚ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ, ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਚਾਹਲ, ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਤੋਂ ਜਸਮੇਰ ਲਾਲ, ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਅਨਿਲ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਗੁੱਡੂ ਸਮੇਤ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਹਿਸੀਲਦਾਰ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਸੰਜੇ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
