MLA Mohali Kulwant Singh inaugurated the Solid Waste Management Unit prepared for Rs 5.11 lakh at Siau village. Giving details, he said that so far such environment-friendly units have been installed in 19 villages in Mohali block and these units are to come up in more villages shortly to overcome the future challenges.
He said that with the start of this unit, the problem of waste management in the village will be sorted out because wet and dry waste from every house in the village will be collected and transported to this unit, where compost will be made for agricultural use.
He said that transporting tri-cycles, dustbins and other arrangements are also being made to collect the garbage from the houses and deliver it to this unit.Listing the achievements of the Bhagwant Singh Mann government, MLA Kulwant Singh said that till now more than 42,900 jobs have been offered in different departments.
He further said that shortly, on the lines of the Delhi government led by Arvind Kejriwal, girls and women of Punjab above 18 years of age will also receive Rs 1000 in their accounts every month. MLA Kulwant Singh said that all the promises made by the Aam Aadmi Party to the people during the previous assembly elections have been fulfilled within two years.
He assured that Punjab’s Bhagwant Singh Mann government will not disappoint the Punjabis as done earlier by the traditional parties.On this occasion, SDM Deepankar Garg, Naib Tehsildar Amarpreet Singh, JE Jaspal Masih, Aam Aadmi Party Leader Kuldeep Singh Samana, Rajinder Singh, Yadwinder Singh Ladi, Mangal Singh Sarpanch, Harnek Singh, Avtar Singh Mauli, Mukhtiar Singh Block President, Former Councilor Harpal Singh Channa, Dr Kuldeep Singh and Avtar Singh Jhampur were also present.

ਅੱਜ ਪਿੰਡ ਸਿਆਉ ਵਿਖੇ 5.11 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਲਾਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਤਿਆਰ ਸਾਲਿਡ ਵੇਸਟ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਬਲਾਕ ਵਿਖੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਯੂਨਿਟ 19 ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਾਏ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਹੋਰ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਲਗਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਦੇ ਲੱਗਣ ਨਾਲ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੂੜੇ ਦੀ ਸਾਂਭ -ਸੰਭਾਲ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਗਿੱਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੱਕਾ ਕੂੜਾ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕੰਪੋਸਟਿੰਗ ਵਿਧੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਖਾਦ ਬਣਾਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਘਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੂੜਾ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਯੂਨਿਟ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਰਹੇੜੀਆਂ, ਡਸਟਬਿਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ 42 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ 900 ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰਤੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਉੁਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਅਰਵਿੰਦ ਕੇਜਰੀਵਾਲ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਤਰਜ਼ ’ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ 18 ਸਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਉਮਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ 1000 ਰੁਪਏ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਕਾੳੂਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁੱਜ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਕੁਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪੂਰਾ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਰੁਝਾਨ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਸਾਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਪਿੰਡ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਡ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਬਣਾਏ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋੜੀਂਦਾ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਨ ਵੀ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਅਸਲ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜੋ-ਜੋ ਵੀ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਲੰਘੀਆਂ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਚਹਿਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਾਅਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਰੰਟੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਸਾਲ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਵਕਫ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
