Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar , 20 Jan 2024

Facilitating the district residents with the Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra scheme, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar District sent off the 10th batch of pilgrims to Salasar Dham-Khatu Shyam Dham on Saturday from the Mandir of Sector 66, Mohali. Member of the Legislative Assembly, Punjab, Kulwant Singh Mohali flagged off the Pilgrimage.

He said that the pilgrim batch sent today is the fourth batch from the Mohali (SAS Nagar) Constituency while it's the 10th group of the district. MLA Kulwant Singh while wishing all the best to the pilgrims said that Bhagwant Singh Mann Government is Committed to delivering each and every promise to the People of Punjab.

He said that the religious journey is not limited to providing free buses only, in fact, the goods needed for the travelling are also being provided to the travellers as a token of goodness from the Punjab Government. The kit includes a blanket, a bedsheet, a pillow and toiletry goods each. He said the pilgrims would be facilitated with night halting at Salasar Dham beside the eateries on the way to this two-day-long pilgrimage.

MLA Kulwant Singh said that the Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra scheme is aimed at easing the various problems and disruptions being faced by women, elders and others to go to their religious places. He said the scheme is a humble gratitude to the people of Punjab by the Bhagwant Singh Mann Government as a mark of respect for their religious sentiments.

The pilgrims who boarded the bus today were full of gratitude towards the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for taking people-oriented initiatives like free power, Aam Aadmi Clinics, Quality Education in Government Schools and now free pilgrimage facilities.
