Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney on Friday said that the Punjab government was fully committed for facilitating the industrialists by providing them ease of doing business in the state.
Interacting with the industrialists here at the Ludhiana Zonal Annual Session-2024-25 by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Sawhney said that the main aim of the Punjab government was to provide an atmosphere where ease of doing business is there for them.
She said that the Industrial and Business Development Policy of the state government had been framed in such a way so that the industrialists could avail full benefits of the policy. The Deputy Commissioner also exhorted the industrialists to take full advantage of the investor friendly policies of the state government and that all out efforts were being made by the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to ensure that the state was put on high growth trajectory by giving a boost to the economy of the state.
She said that the district administration was fully available for the industrialists to solve their problems.
The Deputy Commissioner took queries from the industrialists and also invited their suggestions in dealing with the challenges the district is facing. She also shared the steps the district administration is taking to tackle problems related to traffic decongesting and increasing greenery in the district. The Deputy Commissioner also urged the industrialists to come forward and work shoulder to shoulder with administration in development of society by spending Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.
In this regard, District Development Facilitator (DDF) Ambar Bandopadhyay delivered a presentation where the district administration put forth 21 CSR project proposals targeting various sectors including health, education, assistance for vulnerable children, and rural development to industries.Assistant Commissioner Krishna Pal Singh was also present on the occasion.

ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਸਾਹਨੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਉਦਯੋਗਪਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸੁਚਾਰੂ ਤੇ ਸੁਖਾਵਾਂ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਉਪਲੱਬਧ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ। ਕਨਫੈਡਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਆਫ਼ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀ (ਸੀ.ਆਈ.ਆਈ.) ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਜ਼ੋਨਲ ਸਲਾਨਾ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ-2024-25 ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਉਦਯੋਗਪਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸਾਹਨੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਲਈ ਸੁਖਾਵਾਂ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਉਦਯੋਗਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਨੀਤੀ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਦਯੋਗਪਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਦਾ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਲਾਭ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੇ। ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਉਦਯੋਗਪਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ਕ ਹਿਤੈਸ਼ੀ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਲਾਹਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੀ ਆਰਥਿਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਲਾਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚ ਲੀਹਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਹਰ ਸੰਭਵ ਯਤਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਉਦਯੋਗਪਤੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਢੁੱਕਵੇਂ ਹੱਲ ਲਈ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਤੱਤਪਰ ਹੈ।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਉਦਯੋਗਪਤੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਵਾਲ ਵੀ ਲਏ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਪੇਸ਼ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਵੀ ਮੰਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਿਆਲੀ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਕਦਮਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ।ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਉਦਯੋਗਪਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਸੀ.ਐਸ.ਆਰ. ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਫੰਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨਾਲ ਮੋਢੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੋਢਾ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਫੈਸੀਲੀਟੇਟਰ (ਡੀ.ਡੀ.ਐਫ.) ਅੰਬਰ ਬੰਦੋਪਾਧਿਆਏ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੇ ਸਿਹਤ, ਸਿੱਖਿਆ, ਲੋੜਵੰਦ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਯੋਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੇਂਡੂ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਸਮੇਤ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਰੱਖਦਿਆਂ 21 ਸੀ.ਐਸ.ਆਰ. ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
