Kharar's Indus Public School on Badala Road was a hive of activity and color as it hosted a vibrant celebration of Basant Panchmi Week, heralding the arrival of spring. Students dived into the spirit of Basant Panchmi with great enthusiasm, engaging in a variety of activities that included drawing and making kites, as well as composing poetry and delivering speeches about the significance of the festival. The culmination of the week's festivities saw the students donning yellow attire, symbolizing the mustard fields that are a hallmark of spring in many parts of India. The final day began with a reverent Saraswati Vandana, paying homage to the Goddess of Knowledge and Arts, which set a devotional tone for the day's events.
Highlighting the significance of Basant Panchmi, School Director Col C.S Cheema delivered an inspiring speech that resonated with both students and staff. Meanwhile, School Manager Col. S.P.S Cheema took the opportunity to express his appreciation for the participants and the organizers, acknowledging their efforts in making the celebration a success.

ਅਖੀਰਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਇਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਰੰਗ ਬਰੰਗੀਆਂ ਪਤੰਗਾਂ ਚੜਾ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਖੂਬ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਿਆਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਛੋਟੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੇਂਟਿੰਗ ਮੁਕਬਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਉੱਭਰਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਦੇ ਜੌਹਰ ਵਿਖਾਏ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗਿੱਧੇ ਅਤੇ ਭੰਗੜੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਰੰਗਾ-ਰੰਗ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਸ਼ਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ਨੁਮਾ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਕਰਨਲ (ਰਿਟਾ.) ਸੀ ਐੱਸ ਚੀਮਾ ਨੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਸੰਤ ਦੇ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਮਹੱਤਵ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਨਣਾ ਪਾਇਆ। ਸਕੂਲ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਵਿਚ ਮਨਾਏ ਗਏ ਬਸੰਤ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਿਆਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸਟੇਜ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਯਾਦਗਾਰੀ ਦਿਨ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਤਾ । ਸਰਦੀ ਜਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਬਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ ਤੇ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਬਸੰਤ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਇਕ ਨਵੀਂ ਉਮੰਗ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ ।

इंडस पब्लिक स्कूल बडाला रोड में बच्चों ने वसंत ऋतु के स्वागत के लिए खूब शोर मचाया और विभिन्न गतिविधियों के माध्यम से साप्ताहिक रूप से इस त्योहार को मनाया। इस साप्ताहिक कार्यक्रम में विद्यार्थियों को विभिन्न रचनात्मक एवं कलात्मक गतिविधियों में संलग्न करते हुए उनके कलात्मक गुणों पर प्रकाश डाला। अंतिम दिन एक ओर जहां स्कूल के सीनियर विद्यार्थियों ने रंग-बिरंगी पतंगें उड़ाकर त्योहार का आनंद उठाया, वहीं दूसरी ओर छोटे बच्चों ने पेंटिंग प्रतियोगिताओं में भाग लेकर अपनी उभरती प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन किया ।
इस दौरान छात्र-छात्राओं द्वारा गिधे व भांगड़ा की रंगारंग प्रस्तुतियों से माहौल खुशनुमा हो गया। इसके साथ ही पूरे स्कूल को पीले रंग के फुलो से सजाया गया जब कि स्टेज़ पर भी बच्चो ने अपने हाथो से कागज़ के पीले फुल बना कर लगाए। स्कूल के डायरैक्टर कर्नल (रिटा.) सी एस चीमा ने सभी को बसंत पर्व की बधाई दी और समूह विद्यार्थियो को बसंत पर्व के बारे में जानकारी दी ।
एक तरफ जहां स्कूल के सीनीयर विद्यार्थियो ने रंग बिरंगी पतंगे उडा कर इस पर्व का आनंद उठाया वही छोटे छोटे बच्चो ने पेटिंग मुकाबले में हिस्सा लेकर अपनी उभरती हुई प्रतिभा के जोहर दिखाए । बसंत के इस पर्व में जहां विद्यार्थियो ने भरपुर आनंद उठाया वही अध्यापको ने भी स्टेज़ पर अपनी पेशकारी करके इस दिन को एक यादगारी दिन बना दिया ।
