Deputy Commissioner Sh. Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa addressed different schools students on the occasion of Road Safety Awareness Seminar organized by Rotary Club Nawanshahr. “Traffic Signs are a very important part of our road safety program”, he said, adding that “Most of us, young and old, are not aware of all the traffic signs. Therefore students should not only change mindset amongst their peers, but also share it within their families.”

He further added, “due to different traffic systems in different countries, people who come back some times find it difficult to drive. It is important for them to revise road safety system followed in India.” Subsequently, Deputy Comissioner was invited to inaugurate Safety Awareness Park created by members of Rotary Club on Saloh Road, Nawanshahr.

Deputy Comissioner said “such efforts from citizens who came back from abroad to support the government in development of society are always appreciated.” He added, “It is imperative for NRIs to come back and bring technology and skills from abroad for developing the district.”
