Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab's Mahila Morcha President Jai Inder Kaur today visited the family of deceased professor Balwinder Kaur who had commited suicide a few days back. Jai Inder Kaur met with the family and protestors sitting outside Ropar's Civil Hospital and shared her heartfelt condolences with the deceased's brother Hardev Singh.

Talking to the media after meeting the family, Jai Inder Kaur said, "Today I have come here to share my heartfelt condolences with the family of our late Balwinder Kaur who was under immense stress due to the callous attitude of Punjab Government towards the members of 1158 assistant professors front who have been sitting on a dharna since last 2 months.

Instead of hearing the demands of these teachers and finding ways to resolve their issue, the Aam Aadmi Party government and the Minister Harjot Bains had completely turned a blind eye to them, due to which many of these teachers have gone into depression, forcing one of them to committ suicide."

She further said, "What's even worse is that instead of helping them and providing them justice, the Punjab government is forcing them into even more mental harassment by shielding the education minister even though his name is clearly mentioned in the suicide note, and according to law the Punjab Police is bound to register a case against him.

But instead of doing so the police have woven a blatant excuse that the servers are not working, resulting in them not being able to file a case against the minister. This clearly indicates the Punjab Government's ill intent in providing justice to family as they just want to shield their minister"

Jai Inder Kaur further said, "I urge the Punjab government to immediately provide justice to the family and if they fail to do so we will be forced to intensify the protest against the Punjab government." Jai Inder Kaur was accompanied by BJP Mahila Morcha General Secretary Rani Ramneek, General Secretary Deepak Jyoti, district president ropar Monika Kakkar, Manisha Uppal, Rajni Sharma and Lovely Arora.
