Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, the Chief of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC), vehemently condemned the recent dissemination of hate and animosity by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This condemnation came in response to the BJP posting a derogatory image on their official social media platforms, depicting Rahul Gandhi as Raavan, an act which Raja Warring characterized as a desperate and petty maneuver by the central government.

The official social media account of the BJP shared an image of Rahul Gandhi, digitally altered to resemble Raavan, accompanied by a message branding him as 'Anti-Ram' and 'Anti-Dharma,' accusing him of harboring intentions to undermine the nation. Raja Warring criticized the BJP's choice of such a lowbrow tactic, stating, "The BJP appears to have regressed in their communication approach.

While they previously relied on unofficial channels to disseminate such divisive messages, they have now stooped to using their official social media platforms for such purposes." Leaders within the Congress party have decried this action as one driven by malicious intent. Raja Warring asserted, "The BJP is attempting to sow discord against Rahul Gandhi, particularly after he spent recent days participating in religious gatherings at Darbar Sahib. The party seems perturbed by the outpouring of love and support Rahul Gandhi has received from the people and has, therefore, resorted to spreading hatred against him."

In response to these actions, the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee decided to stage effigy burnings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi depicted as Raavan in various district headquarters across the state. Raja Warring cautioned the public, remarking, "Narendra Modi epitomizes the true embodiment of Raavan, showcasing his animosity in various ways on the national stage.

Punjab will remain committed to promoting love and unity, in stark contrast to the divisive tactics employed by the BJP." Leaders of the PPCC emphasized that their response was not motivated by hatred but was aimed at exposing the reality to the people. "The citizens of Punjab are already well aware of who the genuine Raavan is; we are merely observing an early Dussehra," Raja Warring quipped, underscoring the symbolism behind their actions.

In conclusion, the recent social media post by the BJP is being vehemently condemned by the Congress party, labelling it as a desperate and divisive ploy against Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party. The ensuing effigy burnings serve as a symbolic representation of the party's commitment to unity and love, in contrast to what they perceive as the BJP's divisive agenda.
