In order to aware general public about the ill effects of drug abuse, an anti-drug awareness rallies were conducted by Police, Revenue and Youth Services and Sports Departments at various locations of Baramulla district including Kunzer and Tangmarg.
The rally was attended by students and staff members of various Educational institutions besides other respectables of the local populace. Pertinently, these rallies were conducted in accordance to the directions issued by the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar during the NCORD meetings.
The awareness rallies were flagged-off by the respective Sub Divisional heads with an aim to aware general public about the ill effects of drug abuse and its consequences. The participants were holding banners and placards with messages against substance abuse and pledged to join their hands with Police to eradicate this menace.
During the programme, the concerned heads appealed the general public to join hands with Police for eradicating the abuse of drugs and related substances to eliminate this social evil from the society.
