A team of Sub-Divisional administration Paddar has launched an intensive drive in the Town to encourage traders and other stakeholders to maintain cleanliness and follow best practices for disposal of waste.

The team, headed by SDM Arun Kumar Badyal, comprising Tehsildar Satish Kumar Rana, BDO, Sanjeev Sharma and TSO Balwant Singh Rana engaged with local traders and discouraged the disposal of waste material in drains and littering on the roads.

Recognizing the need for effective waste management, BDO Paddar has been entrusted with the responsibility of establishing ordinary sanitary pits for the disposal of waste material. These designated pits will serve as a sustainable solution to prevent the accumulation of waste at inappropriate locations.

Later, the team visited to the local cricket stadium to resolve the problem of water logging there. Prompt action was taken, and the contractor was instructed to create a drainage hole and install PVC piping to facilitate proper water drainage.

To ensure smooth delivery of public services, surprise visits were conducted by SDM to several offices, including Sub District Hospital Atholi, Sheep Husbandry office, CDPO and ZEO Office. The SDM reviewed the functioning of the offices and asked for effective services delivery. The SDM also urged the traders to maintain hygiene and cleanliness and warned of strict action against those found littering.
