World's Food Safety Day-2023 is observed to draw attention & inspire sincere actions to help to prevent, detect the Food borne challenges. The theme of World Food Day for this year as suggested by World Health Organization (WHO) is ‘Food Standards save lives. ‘

To promote this year’s theme, the Staff of Food Control Organisation Doda and Kishtwar celebrated World Food Safety Day jointly at Doda.  An interaction session was organised in Government Girls High School Bun Doda which was presided by Assistant Commissioner Food Safety, DFCO Doda and Kishtwar, Dev Dutt Sharma.

The students and the staff of the host school were imparted awareness regarding meaning & proper implementation of Food Safety at length. The  speakers  elaborated the topic of Food Safety its Rules & regulations & also explained the objective of Eat Right challenge including Hygiene ratings, BHOG, RUCO, Hygienic practices, Sanitation, Cleanliness, Food Safety on wheels MFTV Surveillance testing, awareness, trainings , Eat Right Campus, Eat Right Schools ,  outreach, media publicity & promotion.

During the session at DFCO Office, the Theme- Food Standards Save lives of World Food Safety Day was explored in front of the participants including Enforcement staff, Food Safety Officers & Field workers who were at the helm of affairs to educate the public about the objectives of FSSA and Allied activities.   

During the session pamphlets & brochures were distributed to the more than 200 participants, importantly schemes like Poshan Abhiyaan, Anaemia Mukt Bharat were discussed & affirmation for its implementation in letter & spirit.
