In continuation to the series of events organised as part of the Nasha Mukt J&K programme, the Cultural Unit Kashmir of DIPR in collaboration with Sheikh ul Alam Model High School Narwara Friday organized Nukkad Natak to raise awareness regarding drug abuse.

During the programme, student activists and artists including Jozia mir, Shabir Rizvi, Saquib Ali, Sarwar Khan, Mir Saleem and Shabeer Hakak through their performances, created awareness on drug abuse and its harmful effects on drug addicts in particular and society in general.

On the occasion, P Sultana Zaroo, Principal of Sheikh ul Alam Model High School sensitized the participants, students and staff about the role of parents and society in preventing the spread of drug menace in the society.

Later, a rally led by activist Suhaila Ayub and Cultural Unit artists, was held in city interiors to spread awareness about drug abuse and its disastrous consequences on society.

School administration, senior citizens and general public hailed Cultural Unit Kashmir DIPR for holding such awareness programmes which is the need of hour.
