Rates fixed for different service providers during SANJY-2023 via Baltal

In order to prevent overcharging for various services during Shri Amarnath JI Yatra (SANJY) 2023 via Baltal route, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today convened a joint meeting of concerned officers and representatives of various services providers for fixing rates of services at VC Room, here.

At the outset, a detailed discussion was held regarding various services provided, with the representatives of service providers to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the SANJY-2023.The stakeholders including ponywalas, pithuwalas, palkiwalas, labourers and other service providers shared their valuable suggestions for further enhancing the quality of services being offered to the devotees and assured the DC of their cooperation and support to ensure smooth conduct of SANJY-2023.

After a detailed discussion the committee fixed rates of various services including Ponies, Pethu, Dandies, Palkies, Labourers, etc. in due consultation with representatives of these service providers for the ensuing SANJY-2023.

Speaking at the meeting, the DC emphasized that all service providers must abide the rates fixed by the committee in letter and spirit and all efforts would be put in place to provide the pilgrims with the best possible services.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; ACP, Feroz Ahmad Yehya; SDM Kangan, DFO Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal, CMO, CAHO besides other district and sectoral officers.
