GOI Sanctions Rs. 17.42 crore for Mandi-Kamand Road

Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had sanctioned  Rs. 17.42 crore for the construction of Mandi-Kamand Road under Central Road Fund(CRF). Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh had made an announcement regarding provision of Rs. 10 crore for this road at the inaugural function of IIT Mandi held on 9th March 2013. An Official Spokesman told here today that the State Public Works Department had prepared an estimate of 17 kms. Mandi-Kamand Road for Rs. 17.42 crore to fulfill the announcement of Chief Minister and the same was sent to Central Government for approval and funding. He further said that apart from it an another sanction of Rs. 10 crore had also been accorded by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways  under CRF for the construction of Gaggal- Chetru- Dharamshala- Mcleodganj- Bhagsunag Road.
