A One-day Farmers’ training programme was today organised at Zone Kandani under the component " Within the District training of farmers " of Sub Mission on Agriculture Extension (SMAE), a Central scheme.
The farmers were imparted awareness about different departmental schemes besides training them about weed control, disease management, Farm Mechanization.
Sub Division Agriculture Officer Padder, Sahil Gandotra briefed the participating farmers about activities of the Agriculture department in the district. He informed them about the future course of action towards the uplift of the farming community.
AEO Kandani, Lorine Kouser imparted training to 25 female registered farmers in this programme. Around 50 other farmers from different parts of Drabshalla participated in the training programme.
The lectures / technical guidance were delivered by JAEO Safia Jan Dev, AEA Narender Kumar. They urged the farmer community to come forward and avail benefits of schemes like KCC, PM Kisan and Govt subsidy on farm Machinery.
The Sarpanch Panchayat Butna Churyana and PRIs of the block appreciated the efforts made by the Agriculture Production and Farmers welfare department for effective implementation of departmental schemes on the ground.
