A delegation of District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee today met Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad in his Office Chamber to discuss the arrangements for Prakash Purab marking the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji being celebrated on January 5, 2023.

At the outset, the DC took a detailed appraisal about the arrangements to be made by different Departments for smooth observance of Prakash Utsav celebrations in the District. Members of the District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee who were present in the meeting briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the requirements for the occasion.

They sought adequate arrangements for ensuring proper traffic and parking facilities, health facility, security management, cleanliness in and around Gurdawaras particularly Chattipadsahi Rainawari, besides making arrangements for uninterrupted power and water supplies.

The DC assured the GPC members that all concerned Departments will be directed to ensure that all kinds of facilities are made available on the auspicious occasion. Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Yaseen Lone and other concerned Departments were present in the meeting.
