A SVEEP Awareness programme was today organized at Imtiyaz Memorial Govt. Degree College (IM-GDC) Shopian by a team of election employees under the supervision of Dy. District Election Officer Shopian.
A large gathering of teachers, students and other officers/ officials were present on this occasion. Mushtaq Ahmad Malik, Asst Professor, Political Science on the occasion provided awareness to the audience on the significance of electoral participation.
Dy. District Election Officer, Jahanger Ahmad also spoke on electoral participation and methods of registration in Panchayat Electoral Roll and stressed upon participants on maximum voter registration.
Election NT and Panchayat Election Booth Officers were also present during the programme and shared their experiences among the participants to register themselves through their concerned PEBOs.
A large number of forms viz. per 2A, 2B, 2C and 2D were also distributed among the students for maximum voter registration.
