Deputy Commissioner Samba, Ms. Anuradha Gupta on Tuesday reviewed the functioning of Revenue Department and the status & progress of the delivery of different public services in the district, here at a meeting held in DC Office Complex.
The meeting was attended by ACR, Manu Hansa; SDM Ghagwal, Ramkesh Sharma; SDM Vijaypur, Vinay Kumar; Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars besides other officials. Assistant Commissioner Revenue gave a detailed powerpoint presentation on status of updating and digitization of jamabandies, digitization of cadastral maps, delineation of land records, generation of land passbooks, status of eviction of Roshni land, land acquisition cases, change of land use cases, status of RCCMS portal and other issues.
During the meeting, it was informed that digitization of jamabandies for 373 villages has been completed while the process for 7 villages is on and that of 2 villages is yet to be started. He further informed 1142 Kanal 08 Marla roshni land has been evicted during anti encroachment drives conducted across the district in the past couple of weeks.
Similarly, pendency of inheritance mutations of 574 cases has been observed against a total 1211 cases. The Deputy Commissioner directed to expedite the generation of Land Passbooks and Digitization of land records in the district.
She also laid emphasis on daily progress reports for regular monitoring of department’s functioning and directed the tehsildars to ensure completion of assigned tasks within stipulated time frame.
While discussing the progress made under delineation, the Deputy Commissioner asked the Tehsildars to conduct spot visits before preparing any file under delineation. The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the status of court cases pending in the district and directed the Tehsildars to expedite the disposal of the cases in a time bound manner.
