To embolden children for the healthy and nutritious diet, CCPCR organized Budding Chef Contest for children of Chandigarh-The City Beautiful at Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Sector-10, Chandigarh. The contest was marked by auspicious presence of Ms. Harjinder Kaur, Chairperson of CCPCR. Internationally renowned Chef Vikas chawla, Director of Core Hospitality Solutions graced the occasion as Chief Guest. 

Along with him Dr. Poonam Khanna, Associate Professor of Department of Community Medicine and School of Public Health, PGIMER (Chandigarh) and Ms.Simrit Luthra, the eminent artist of Tricity were present to judge the participants fairly.Around 59 students from 27 different government and private schools of Chandigarh participated in this event with full zeal and presented healthy and delicious cuisines. Children from Snehalaya for Boys-Maloya also participated in the event. 

Out of these, Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Sector-56 bagged the first prize, GMSSS-10 and GMSSS Manimajra got second position collectively while DAV-15 and St.John High School got third position. Consolation prize was shared by GMSSS, Sector-35 Model and GMSSS,Sector-39 respectively. 

While speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Harjinder Kaur, Chairperson, CCPCR encouraged all the students to be a part of this event and further to adopt healthy dietary habits. She congratulated the winners and all the participants.Chef Vikas Chawla, the Chief Guest of the occasion shared significant tips with the students for excellent cooking. He threw light on the benefits of adding Millets in daily diet.

Vote of thanks was extended by Principal Mrs. Jasmine Josh of GMSSS Sec-10, Chandigarh to all. She talked about the efforts of CCPCR in encouraging the children for healthy diet and mental well-being. Mrs. Pooja Punchhi, Member, CCPCR, Mr. Chanchal Singh, RTE Consultant, CCPCR, Mr. Kartar Singh, Legal Consultant, CCPCR, Mr. Arvind K  Dhawan, Senior Assistant, CCPCR, Mrs. Ankita, POCSO Consultant, CCPCR, Mr. Shekhar, Clerk, CCPCR ,Interns from Panjab University, Chandigarh and staff of the school were present during the occasion.
