National Police commemoration Day was observed at DPL Doda to pay tributes to the Martyrs who have made their supreme sacrifices for the integrity and sovereignty of the nation. SSP Doda, Abdul Qayoom, read out the names of Martyrs to remember their sacrifices and a rich homage was paid to those Martyrs who have made their supreme sacrifices for the peace and prosperity of the nation. 

The SSP advised the officers and Jawans to imbibe the spirit of nationalism and contribute with great dedication and enthusiasm for the dignity and development of the nation.The Commemoration Parade comprised different components of Police and CAPF viz District Police Doda, IR-5th Bn Doda, CISF-581 and SSB-7th Bn and it was led by Shoket Ali, Dy.SP DAR.

A large number of officers both from Police and Civil Administration, prominent persons, PRI functionaries also graced the occasion by participating in the wreath laying ceremony and by paying tribute to the brave martyrs.

Besides this, the family members of various police martyrs of District Doda were special invitees and they also paid tribute to the Brave Martyrs. An interaction session was also held by Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan and SSP alongwith Addl. SP Hqrs, Master Popsy and DySP DAR with the families of Martyrs to know about their well-being and grievances.

Ved Parkash, President MC Doda; Sanjeev Khajuria CO-IR-5th Bn; Mohammad Aftab Mir, Addl. SP Bhaderwah and officers of Civil Departments /District Police Doda/CAPF were also present at the function.
