Elder line stakeholders meet held at Udhampur

To make the functioning of National Helpline for Senior Citizens, Elder Line 14567 smooth and effective in the district, a meeting of Elder line stakeholders was held today under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner Udhampur, Anu Bhel, here at Conference Hall DC office Complex.

During the meeting, the stakeholders were sensitised about their role and responsibilities through PowerPoint presentation. It was informed that the senior citizens who are in need of assistance can call on toll free number 14567 daily from 8 AM to 8 PM.

Moreover, the issues faced by the elderly citizens and mechanism for their prompt redressal were also discussed in detail. While speaking on the occasion, ADDC called upon the stakeholders to promote the elder liner number in their respective area so that necessities of the senior citizens of the society can avail the benefit of the initiative. 

She exhorted upon the officers to provide support to the concerned agency for the smooth functioning of the scheme.Among others, Additional Superintendent of Police, Anwar Ul Haq SDMs, DSWO, Kanika Gupta, Tehsildars and officers of allied departments attended the meeting.
