To generate awareness among the common masses about the “Har Ghar Tiranga campaign” under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,” District Administration Udhampur on Friday organized a Mega Tiranga rally comprising students, staff members of different Government educational institutions and civil society members.
Deputy Commissioner, Krittika Jyotsna flagged off the rally from the District Headquarter Office. Hundreds of school children, staff, officers and officials and locals carrying the National Flags marched through Slathia Chowk, Ramnagar Chowk, Gole Market, Bus stand and gathered at Government Boys Higher Secondary School.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the main objective of organizing this awareness rally was to sensitise the common masses about the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign launched by the Union Territory Government. Highlighting the aim of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, the DC impressed upon the people of the district to hoist the National Flag on the rooftop of their houses to be its part.
The DC informed that a series of activities like Rallies, Debates, Quiz and painting competitions are being organized in the Schools, Colleges and other institutions in the District to encourage the youth to establish a connection with the National Flag.Earlier, The Deputy Commissioner flagged off the Har Ghar Tiranga rally organized by 187 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
Hundreds of CRPF jawans and students participated in the rally. The Rally was taken out from Government Higher Secondary School Udhampur which passed through Gole market, Ramnagar Chowk, Dhar road, Domail Chowk, MH and culminated at GHSS Boys.
