After ragging junior students at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College in Indore, now a case of ragging has come to light from the Government Medical College, Ratlam. Seniors took ragging by making juniors stand in a queue in the hostel. On Saturday, July 30, a video from the GMC in the Ratlam area of Madhya Pradesh leaked, showing junior students being raped.

The video was allegedly secretly recorded by some kids a few days ago and released on Saturday. In the video, it shows eight junior students standing in line with their heads bowed down. And not only this, it has also been seen that senior students slap them one after another.

The warden, Dr. Anurag Jain, narrowly escaped as he was attacked by students who threw liquor bottles when he arrived there after learning that ragging was occurring at the medical college dormitory. A student made the video of the entire ragging incident, and it is now quickly becoming popular on social media.

DEAN’S RESPONSE

Dr Jitendra Kumar Gupta, Dean, Ratlam Medical College that they have identified the students involved and stated, "It was the students of the 2020 batch who were involved in ragging the students of the 2021 batch. We have got 10 names that we have identified and strictest actions will follow soon."

STUDENTS BOOKED

Speaking on the matter, Sanyogita Ganj police station in-charge Tehzeeb Qazi said, "We have registered a case of ragging on the complaint of MGM College. 8 to 10 students have been booked under Sections 294, 323, 506 of the Anti Ragging Act.”

Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Ratlam’s college has been a victim of a similar incident. A few months ago, a similar occurrence came to light, leading to the suspension of certain students for seven days. Even now, despite everything, nothing has changed in this place, and a similar issue has arisen.
