ADDC reviews Muharram arrangements at Ramban

Additional District Development Commissioners, Ramban, Rajinder Sharma today chaired a meeting of officers and representatives of the Shia Federation here to review the arrangements being put in place for ensuing Muharram-ul-Haram starting from July 29.

BDC chairperson, Amjid Ali; ACR, Viqar Giri; ACD, Ashok Katoch;, Tehsildar, Rafiq Ahmed; Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti, and   District President Shia Federation, Murtaja Ali, members of Anjuman-e-Imamia Chanderkote Kafyat Ali, Basharat Ali   Majid Ali and several other civil society members attended the meeting.

During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on arrangements like electricity, water supply, roads, sanitation, street lighting, and Medicare facilities. The meeting also discussed the issues projected by the representatives of Shia Federation for the smooth conduct of Muharram.

The ADDC emphasized on strict adherence to Covid Appropriate Behavior during Muharram-ul-Haram congregations.The Jal Shakti and JPDCL were asked to gear up the field staff to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply during the holy month. Besides, the health department was asked to ensure the availability of healthcare facilities.   

The Concerned Authorities were also instructed to ensure cleanliness in and around Imambargah Chanderkote. The Police and Traffic department was   asked to provide foolproof security and traffic arrangements during the Muharram days.
