A female nurse who recently accused director health services of sexually harnessing her, Sunday met Chairman Huriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani at latter’s Hyderpora residence- asking the senior separatist leader to raise voice for her justice.Demanding a thorough probe into the alleged molestation of a female nurse by the director health services, Geelani stated that he supports the demand of the thorough probe into the incident and wants the case to have the hearing in the public  in the court of law instead of being investigated by the corridors of power so that masses would come to know about the progress of investigation.“Instead of traditional hearings, the case must be heard on the fast track bases so that the involved could be severely punished. We have the examples of sex scandal of 2006 and shopian episode of 2009- such cases seldom get justice in Kashmir as the incidents are generally dominated politically”

Geelani in a statement issued stated that the crimes against the women are condemnable including the one wherein a teacher has sexually harassed a student at South Kashmir’s Kulgam area. “Such acts are condemnable at every level and the same has sent the shock waves across valley. Only a disciplined system of governance can put lid over the growing crimes against the women or else the incidents of such nature are inevitable to take place.”
