The Minister for School Education, Higher Education and Sports Mr. Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer today convene a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner Barnala Dr. Harish Nayar and SSP Barnala Shri Sandeep Kumar Malik.During the meeting he reviewed the developmental works going on in the  district and said that no project should be left incomplete. He also reviewed performance of the Jan suvidha camp held at various parts of the district so far. Laying emphasis on the main motive of such camps in bringing services of government to the doorstep of people, the education minister said that fees of various government department should be promptly displayed in public places. 

He also directed that no public oriented work should be delayed.He directed the SSP Barnala to ensure that drugs were rooted out from the district. Education Minister said that more emphasis should be laid in the villages where youth is more vulnerable to falling prey to the deadly drugs. Police were also directed to ensure that traffic signals in Barnala city as well as the rest of district are removed so that the traffic can have a free flow and there would be no fatalities.ADC (G) Mr Amit Bamby, SDM Mrs Simarpreet Kaur and SP Mr Kuldeep Singh sohi but also present during the meeting.
