Ludhiana West MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi today inaugurated the start of construction of 100feet wide road opposite Keys Hotel, here. This road would be constructed from Underpass near Lodhi Club till Phullanwal Chown on Pakhowal Road by Ludhiana Improvement Trust with a cost of Rs 1.32 crore.MLA Gogi said that for the last several years, this particular road was in pitiable condition and was a long pending demand of area residents as a large number of vehicles pass from it daily.
He said that big potholes on this road even led to accidents sometimes.He said that now that the construction work has started, soon a good quality road would be constructed for the welfare of common man. He assured that providing best quality roads and infrastructure to the residents of Ludhiana (West) constituency is one of his foremost priorities.
