Amandeep Kaur, a student who saved the precious lives of children by showing courage and bravery during the tragic incident that took place at Longowal two years ago, has been awarded the Uttam Jiwan Rakshak Padak Award-2020 by the Government of India.  The award was presented to the  Amandeep Kaur by the Deputy Commissioner, Sangrur, Mr. Ramvir at the District Administrative Complex today. The Deputy Commissioner praised the courageous efforts of Amandeep Kaur and congratulated her family members and village residents. 

He said that those one who shows courage and bravery in times of danger deserve commendation.  The Deputy Commissioner wished Amandeep Kaur a bright future and awarded the Uttam Jiwan Rakshak Padak Medal,  Uttam Jiwan Rakshak Padak Miniature Medal and Uttam Jiwan Rakshak Padak Certificate sent by the Government of India to Amandeep Kaur. He said that Amandeep Kaur, Pindi Amar Singh Wali, Peer Khana Road was selected by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India for the  Uttam Jiwan Rakshak Padak Award.
