JKDLP Chairman, Hashim Qureshi has expressed shock and grief on hearing about the sad demise of Abdul Khaliq Ansari in Mirpur. In a condolence meeting organized at JKDLP headquarters, Chairman Hashim Qureshi said that Abdul Khaliq Ansari was the pioneer of the ideology of an Independent and united Jammu & Kashmir. While shedding light on the life of this great son of the soil, Hashim Qureshi said that Abdul Khaliq Ansari was the founder and first President of Plebiscite Front (POK and PAK) and even Shaheed Maqbool Bhat started his struggle for an Independent Jammu & Kashmir under the leadership of Abdul Khaliq Ansari.
Hashim Qureshi also said that Abdul Khaliq Ansari was a renowned Senior advocate, social worker and above all a great human being. Abdul Khaliq Ansari never compromised on his ideology and has given immense sacrifices. He experienced great torture and abuse while he along with 400 other activists of NLF and PF was arrested in Pakistan after Ganga Hijacking. JKDLP Chairman, Hashim Qureshi said that Abdul Khaliq Ansari will always remain a beacon of inspiration and guidance for the Kashmiri nationalist movement and its supporters. In a very emotional state, Hashim Qureshi said that he feels proud of the fact that he has enjoyed the leadership and affection of Abdul Khaliq Ansari in the beginning of his political struggle at an early age. He added that the leadership and affection of great people like Abdul Khaliq Ansari, Shaheed Maqbool Bhat, GM Mir, Mir Mannan, Mir Abdul Qayum and others has shaped his political ideology and character. He concluded by saying that the ideology and struggle of these great people will be taken forward and by the grace of God will reach its logical conclusion.
