The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday organised ‘Sri Sukhmani Sahib paath’ across Punjab as a token of gratitude on the defeat of the ego of the central government, in front of the historic farmers’ struggle which lasted for almost a year; with mutual unity, solidarity, patience, peace and under the auspices of the Indian Constitution and on the victory of the ‘annadatas’ along with the democracy. The AAP offered prayers in memory of the farmers, laborers and women who were martyred during the farmers’ struggle. In a statement issued from the party headquarters, AAP state general secretary Harchand Singh Barsat and state secretary Gagandeep Singh Chadha said that November 19 would be remembered as a golden day in Indian history like August 15 and January 26; because it is not only a symbol of ‘annadatas’ victory, but also a good sign that democracy, which has been trembling by the principles and concepts of the Indian Constitution and the original federal structure, is on track again.

Barsat and Chadha said that the party leaders and office-bearers organised ‘Sri Sukhmani Sahib paath’ as a token of gratitude and offered prayers dedicated to the 'martyrs' of the farmers’ struggle at the party headquarters at Chandigarh, Patiala, Sangrur, Bathinda, Barnala, Faridkot, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Hoshiarpur and Ropar; along with in other districts and tehsils. It was also prayed that God would continue to bless the ‘annadatas’, who were fighting for their rights and existence, with the same ascending energy, patience and peace forever. The AAP leaders appealed to the people of Punjab and across the country, to never lag behind in respecting and supporting peaceful struggles for the Constitution of India, the federal structure and the rights of the people; and beware of communal and opportunistic political forces that divide on a regional basis.Among other leaders during the ‘Sri Sukhmani Sahib paath’ at the party office in Chandigarh, advocate Amardeep Kaur, Kashmir Kaur, Prabhjot Kaur, Anu Babbar, Gurmel Singh Sidhu, Malvinder Singh Kang, Kuljit Singh Randhawa Derabassi, Jaspal Singh Kauni, Sarabjit Singh Pandher, Pritpal Singh, Gurinder Singh Kairon, Manjit Singh Ghuman, Parminder Goldy, Varinder Singh Bedi, Gurmakh Singh Mann along with others were also present.
