DC Doda reviews progress under District Capex, RDD schemes

Directs to expedite tendering, allotment of pending works, timely payment of MGNREGA wages

Deputy Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today chaired a meeting of key officials of RDD and REW here in the DC office to review the progress achieved by the Rural Development Department under District Capex and other RDD schemes.During the meeting threadbare discussions were held with regard to the status of up-dation of Village sanitation plan, capacity building of PRI members, solarization of Panchayat Ghars, achievement under District Capexm, MGNREGA  and B2V-3 schemes. It was informed that village sanitation Committees have been framed and the updation of plans is going on, with the plans for 351 Villages having been already updated.The DC directed the DPO to expedite the process and submit the exact data about the number of villages for which the plan has to be updated. He directed the concerned to update error free and accurate data on the portal.With regard to the capacity building of PRI members, the meeting informed that the first phase has been completed at five locations and the remaining 5 phases will be completed by March 2021, while the second phase is going to start in mid November.

The DC stressed on making the training program for PRIs result oriented and holding the new phases at central places for the convenience of PRI members.For solarisation of panchayat ghars the DC directed the ACD to get the preliminary exercise done with regard to the availability of space in the panchayat ghars so that at the time of installation there shall be no problem.While reviewing the key indicators of MGNREGA, the DC directed the ACD to ensure optimal performance during this peak season. He further sought explanation from the BDOs who failed to make MGNREGA payments in time.For PMAY (G), the DC asked the nodal department to expedite the completion of all the pending houses. The ACD was asked to submit the list of Panchayat wise field functionaries, who show poor performance in the completion of the PMAY Houses.With regard to District Capex, the DC asked the REW to expedite the tendering of all pending works and constitute teams who shall work separately for the tendering of the B2V-3 works and their work be monitored on a daily basis.The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, ACD Doda, ACP Doda, Ex REW besides other concerned officials of the rural development department.
