"The Milkfed is fully prepared to meet the ever increasing demand of Verka products during the festive season". This was stated here today by the Deputy Chief Minister S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa while taking stock of the functioning of the Verka Milk  Plant in Mohali.S. Randhawa, who also holds the Cooperation Portfolio, personally reviewed the production procedure of milk processing, Desi Ghee and Paneer expressing satisfaction over the standards being adopted. 

He also said that Milkfed is well known for its adherence to quality and that explains why the products of Milkfed are in great demand during festive season. "The Milkfed has made all the arrangements for meeting the increasing demand because the qualitative aspect of its diversified range of products attracts customers in huge numbers", said Randhawa.The Deputy Chief Minister expressed satisfaction at the foolproof arrangements and while encouraging the staff, said that the strengthening of the Cooperative sector institutions would in turn lead to the improvement in the economic condition of the farmers as well as the milk producers.
