Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Varinder Kumar Sharma along with Commissioner of Police Rakesh Agrawal today inaugurated Photo Exhibition depicting “Nature Around Ludhiana” on the eve of World Photography Day. The Photo Exhibition portrays the mesmerizing scenic beauty and the nature of Ludhiana, shot during the second Lock Down by City Lawyer Harpreet Sandhu.Varinder Sharma after inaugurating the Photo Exhibition, stated that Harpreet Sandhu through his Photo Exhibition has given a very meaningful message on Nature and urged citizens of Ludhiana to must have a glimpse of the unexplored serene locations of Ludhiana which are highlighted in this Photo Exhibition. Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana appreciated the dedicated efforts of Harpreet Sandhu for coming up with an innovative idea portraying changing perspectives of nature and significance of nature in human life.Commissioner of Police Ludhiana, Rakesh Agrawal applauded the concept of Nature Photo Exhibition initiated by Harpreet Sandhu as a good step to promote the unexplored nature serene locations of District Ludhiana enabling the citizens to value the significance of nature in human life.

Noted poet Dr. Surjit Patar said that Harpreet Sandhu has shown outstanding Photography skills to project Beautiful Nature around Ludhiana through this Photo Exhibition and will be of great interest for natives of Ludhiana to understand that Almighty prevails in its Nature and thus we need to preserve it. Dr. S.S. Johl, Chancellor, Central University, Punjab during the inauguration of the event said that the scenic beauty of the Nature captured by Harpreet Sandhu will captivate the viewers and will motivate them individually and in groups for preservation of Nature around our city.Harpreet Sandhu said that through this Photo Exhibition, he aims to highlight the unique nature locations around Ludhiana District. He started this work with sense of professional commitment to understand the changing perspectives of nature during Covid 19 lockdown 2021, comparing it with the concept of nature enshrined in Gurbani Hymns, “Air is teacher, Water is father and Earth is mother”.To conceptualize this task he captured through his lens the beautiful vibrant colours of nature around countryside of District Ludhiana, i.e. Sidhwan Bet, Machiwara, Mattewara, Khaira Bet, Halwara, Punjab Agricultural University, Banks of River Sutlej etc. He further said that, he has tried to amalgamate together the glimpses of Nature with the philosophy of Guru Nanak Dev Ji which emphasizes that Almighty prevails in Nature.
