Director General Youth Services & Sports (DG-YSS), Dr Saleem-Ur-Rehman, today dedicated sports material/equipment for Rifle Shooting and fencing to the youth of the district Doda here at Sports Stadium.District Youth Service and Sports Officer, Jaffar Header Sheikh and all the staff members of DYSS department were present along with ZPEOs and media persons.The DG advised the department to keep open the newly launched sports like Rifle Shooting and Fencing for the youth with due adherence to Covid Safety protocols, to enable the participants/ players/ beginners  to get the benefit and training properly.He interacted with the sportspersons and said that sports inculcate discipline and develop a sense of determination among the youth to achieve their goals. “Promotion of sports as an integral part of our education curriculum will go a long way to facilitate over-all personality development of our youngsters,” he added.The DG also handed over a mechanized pitch roller for the Doda cricket ground.Later, the Director General visited the Berbhag area of Beoli Panchayat for the inspection of land for the 2nd cricket/ Sport stadium, coming up in the Berbhag area in Doda.
