Rajouri , 28 May 2021

To facilitate COVID patients in the rural areas, district administration Rajouri has completed the process of establishment of Covid Care facility across all 312 Panchayats as per the directions of LG Jammu and Kashmir.Soon after the directions issued by the LG Administration , Rajouri administration put the manpower of different departments on the job and services of Lok Mitras were also taken. The District took a lead in the establishment of Panchayat level Corona Care Centers completing 70% on the first day and covering all the Panchayats on the second day.The Panchayat COVID-care centres have been equipped with requisite healthcare facilities, and the basic amenities including drinking water facility, ventilation, along with linkages with Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Community Health Centres (CHCs), besides availability of medicines and regular doctor consultation. The Panchayat level teams have   been constituted with the contact numbers of the Doctors deployed for Tele Medication and Tele consultation. The elected PRI representatives as well as ASHA, Anganwadi, ANM workers, Lok Mitras, and voluntary organizations are playing an active role in the effective implementation of preventive measures in rural areas by providing necessary services to the patients.

The initiative has provided an added support to people in various Panchayats to access medical care and also helps in providing space for isolation to COVID-infected patients, who do not have enough space in their homes. The public has also applauded the efforts of LG and District Administration for the speedy establishment of Covid care centres in their Panchayats and making all the COVID related facilities available at their doorsteps.Samreen Khan, a sarpanch of block Manjakote said, "Many households in the rural areas don’t have the space for the isolation of Covid positive patients, so the establishment of the CCCs will facilitate them in their treatment." Anita Devi, sarpanch of Panchayat Dabbar Potha-A block, Seri said, "I am very happy with this step of the Government as these centers will be a boon for the rural masses.""We will put all efforts to provide all the necessary services to the isolated covid positive patients to be brought in these centers" She added. She also added that this would also lead to a decrease in the positivity rate."It is our duty to motivate the covid positive patients to move in the PCCCs," said Anita Devi.Abdul Qayoom, Sarpanch of Panchayat Mohra of block Koteranka said, "People in villages tend to overlook mild symptoms and in turn, they are multiplying the virus and don't even seek medical advice from the health institutions located at a distance from their house.”
