District Level Committee to provide Inj. Remdesivir to Govt/ Pvt Covid Care Centres / chemists situated inside Private COVID Care Centres- DC

Inj. Remdesivir 100 mg. is being issued for management of COVID -19 patients. State Government has decided to provide the injection from the Government stock to designated Government and Private COVID Care Centres / Chemists situated inside Private COVID Care Centes, informed Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan.He divulged that in order to facilitate the availability and to have a check on the Remdesivir Injection provided from the Government supplies to the various health facilities, it is decided that the supplies received by the Government at the Central Store shall be allocated to all the districts of the Punjab for further supply to the Government COVID Care Centres and the Private Covid Care Centres / chemists situated inside Private COVID Care Centre. However, for the supply to the Private COVID Care Centres / chemists situated inside Private COVID Care Centre, a committee shall be constituted at the District Level comprising representative of Deputy Commissioner, Civil Surgeon and Zonal Licensing Authority /Drugs Control Officer, which will decide the distribution.The payment of the injections supplied to the Private Covid Care Centres(CCC)/ chemists situated inside Private CCC shall be made in a separate bank account of Punjab Health Systems Corporation (PHSC).The bank account details are as Axis Bank Ltd, Branch - Sector 38, Chandigarh, IFSC Code - UTIB0001472, Account No. - 913010047736911. The prices to be charged from the Private Covid Care Centres / chemists situated inside Private CCC shall be the same at the rate procured under the National Health Mission. The current prices of Inj. Remdesivir by various companies are  Zydus Cadila(Liquid) Rs 1158/- per vial , Hetero Rs.2500, Mylan Rs.1400,  Cipla Rs.1189, Syngene/ Sun Pharma Rs.1400,  Jubilant  Rs.1450 and Dr. Reddys Rs.1670 per vial. These rates are excluding GST, which is 12%.
