Punjab School Education Minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla released the stickers prepared by the Education Department to boost admission campaign and the calendar depicting the achievements of the department. Mr. Vijay Inder Singla said that in order to further improve the quality of education and to provide better infrastructure in the government schools, around 13000 schools have been converted into smart schools so far.  He said that as a result of this enrollment in government schools has been increasing and during the current academic session, the government schools have registered over 15% more admissions as compared to last year.  He said that under the Smart School Campaign 41336 classrooms of about 13000 schools have been converted into Smart Classrooms in less than two years.  He said that the condition of school rooms, playgrounds, education parks, science laboratories and toilets has been improved.  He said that smart schools are technology based learning institutes which prepare the children for the overall development of the students as well as the society based information and knowledge.
