Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr Daljit Singh Pardesi on Saturday flagged off IEC awareness van regarding Ayushman Bharat Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana from District Hospital here.Speaking on the occasion, Dr Daljit said that under the Tandrust Punjab initiative of Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh, Government of Punjab is providing health insurance cover of up to Rs. 5 lakhs annually, which includes BPL families, Smart Rashan Card holders, Farmers and Traders etc. For one month, this van will visit the remote areas and villages in the district to create awareness about the scheme and E-cards of the eligible beneficiaries will be generated there as well. The micro-planning for the same and daily reporting of the vans shall be monitored.DMC said that the work of e-card generation has been expedited and at places like Common Service Centres, Sewa Kendras and Market Committees, these E-cards are being generated. He urged all the eligible beneficiaries to reach their nearest E-card generation center to get their E-cards made under the scheme.On the occasion, Senior Medical officer Dr Vijey Bhagat, Dr Parminder Singh, Gurjashan Singh and other officers of the department were present as well.
